Privacy Policy

Also known as “Datenschutzerklärung”. Last updated: 19.06.2026

This page explains what personal data we collect when you join the Homestocking launch waitlist, why, and what rights you have. We only collect what we need to email you once when Homestocking launches — nothing more.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this site is:

Julian Duß
Dieselstr. 9, 76344 Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, Germany
Email: contact@homestock.ing

2. What we collect and why

When you submit the waitlist form we process:

  • Your email address — so we can send you the launch notification.
  • Your IP address and browser user-agent, together with timestamps, recorded at sign-up and again when you click the confirmation link. This is stored as proof of your consent (double opt-in) and to protect the form against abuse and spam.

We do not use any analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party cookies. We collect no other personal data.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • Sending the launch email: based on your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you give by confirming via the double-opt-in link.
  • Consent records and abuse prevention (IP, user-agent, timestamps): based on our legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate consent and keep the service secure (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).

4. Double opt-in

After you enter your email we send a confirmation message with a link. Your address is only added to the list once you click that link. If you never confirm, the pending entry is not used to send you anything and is removed in due course.

5. How and where your data is stored

Your data is stored in a self-hosted database on a server we operate in Germany. It is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising, and it never leaves our own infrastructure.

6. Recipients / no third parties

We do not share your data with any third party. The confirmation and launch emails are sent from our own self-hosted mail server, also located in Germany — your email address is never handed to an external email provider, newsletter service, or processor.

7. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is a single localStorage value, hs-theme, which remembers your light/dark preference. It contains no personal data, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it anytime via your browser.

8. Retention

We keep your email address only until you unsubscribe, or until shortly after Homestocking launches and the announcement has been sent — after which the waitlist is deleted. Unconfirmed (pending) entries are removed earlier.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise any of these, email contact@homestock.ing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us, the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg (LfDI Baden-Württemberg).

10. Unsubscribing

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. Using it removes your address from the list immediately and stops all further mail.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our data practices change. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
